Success Story #3 - Erika's Story

At the age of six, Ericka began to complain of pain in her knees. Her parents also observed that she could not make a fist with either of her hands, and did not have enough strength to button her own shirts or pants. After visiting several doctors, Ericka was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA). Knowing that they would not be able to afford proper treatment, Ericka’s parents sought help from their Program Coordinator at Casa de Paz Sahuaro. Now, at the age of 10, Ericka has been seeing a rheumatologist and regularly attending physical therapy sessions. Thanks to your generous donations, Ericka has been able to receive the proper care and medication she so desperately needed. She is now able to participate in activities with the other children. In this photo, she is panning for gold!
